What is the difference between tutoring and intervention?
LANS is not a tutoring business, I deliver intervention grounded in evidence-based research. Tutoring focuses on re-teaching current academic content and homework, whereas intervention targets missing foundational skills and provides intensive instruction to bridge these gaps.

Initial consultation consists of a comprehensive assessment to identify current skills and areas of need. Results are reviewed and discussed with families.
Each session is one-on-one, individualised and provides opportunities for:
Revision of sounds through reading and writing.
Learning of new letter patterns and spellings.
Sentence construction and writing.
Reading & comprehension.
Vocabulary development.
Session duration- 60 mins

Revision & consolidation of learnt concepts.
Learning of new maths concepts.
Links to real-world applications.
Interaction with hands-on materials when learning new concepts.
Visual and pictorial representations.
Written representation using formal symbols.
Vocabulary development.
Session duration- 60 mins
